About
Hello, my name is Arincheyan Gerald, and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Boston University. My research at the Material Robotics lab focuses on soft optical sensing and haptic feedback wearables to improve minimally invasive surgery.
As an upcoming graduate, I am seeking R&D opportunities at companies that specialize in robotics, medical devices, and wearables. Through my work as a graduate researcher, I have strong practical experience in rapid prototyping, design thinking principles, medical device manufacturing, clinical evaluation, and soft robotics. I have also led interdisciplinary teams of graduate student researchers, as well as authored technical papers and presented my work at top conferences. I endeavor to solve problems using a data driven, experimental approach and I hope to utilize my research expertise to develop state-of-the art devices.
If you are interested in learning more about my research, feel free to explore the portfolio and publications sections of my website.
On a personal note, I enjoy baking and cooking new recipes, exploring local restaurants, and reading science fiction novels. I also am an avid hiker and enjoy spending time outdoors.
I look forward to discussing and learning new ideas with fellow roboticists and engineers!
